The race between Obama and Hilary?Who do you think is going to win?
51Who do you think should win this race?
Clinton: "I still believe I can win". "I still believe that I can win at the merits". Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, writes in the Daily News of New York.
Clinton writes that:
I am not unaware of the challenges or the odds of my securing the nominations but this race remains extroadinarily close, and hundreds of thousands of people in upcoming primaries are still waiting to vote. As I have said so many times over the course of this prmary, If Sen Obama wins the nomination, I will support him and work my heart out for him against John McCain but that has not happened yet.
The arguments against Barack Obama are:
- He has no administrative experience running a large organization.
- He is too liberal.
- He is Black, and thus vulnerable to the politics of personal destruction, and will not get elected.
The arguments against Hilary Rodham Clinton are:
- Her performance running Clinton-era health care reform in 1993 and 1994 gives no confidence in her ability to run the large organization that is the U.S. government.
- She is too centrist.
- She is female and a Clinton, and thus vulnerable to the politics of personal destruction, and will not get elected.
The response to for both sides is by this point very convincing: both have now demonstrated an ability to run an excellent political campaign. Running a successful presidential political campaign is not the same thing as governing a country, but both have demonstrated substantial administrative competence over the past two years--and neither has betrayed the moral failure of telling big lies or making themselves hostage to special interests in the way that, say, George H.W. Bush did and thus crippled their presidency in advance. A Barack Obama who was just a pretty face who could give a nice speech could not have run the campaign he has run over the past two years. And the Hilary Rodham Clinton who made such an administrative mess of health reform in 1993-1994 could not have run the campaign she has run over the past two years. Thus I am now confident that either has a reasonable shot of being in the top 20% of American presidents. Brad De Long(feb 05, 2008)
As per Brad De Long (The semi-daily Journal Economist) "None of the arguments against either candidate seems to me really weigh one way or another".
So America, please vote not as democrats or republicans but as true americans who love their country and know the best for their country and don't vote taking color and sex into consideration.

Of the three leading aspirants for the job of LFW (Leader of the Free World), my nightmare is that one of them will be elected. Seems that every 4th year I tend to get these rational attacks, questioning "is this really necessary"?!
I am hoping Obama wins! And as you said, if either one wins, history begins. When I lived in NY and couldn't find work because I have trouble with my hearing, and it was during the 9/11 situation, I wrote to my gov't reps, which included the Mayor, and Hillary was the one that took interest in me; responded very quickly. However, Obama has won me over. If she could be a VP it would be great!
another good one. you rock. see you around girl!
obama has won not only the elctions but also the hearts of his party and now he has to win the nation tough job
